Memories....

Here are the directions:
1. Add a comment on my blog of a memory or two that you and I had together. It can be anything fun that you remember. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot or not at all, just put any memories you have.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Try to keep it going on your blogs with your friends.

This is fun! I am eagerly looking forward to your memories!

My memory of you is hanging out at play dates with our other neighbor friends back when our kids were just toddlers and babies. We had a lot of fun, us mommies living so close together, didn't we?

I have A Lot of memories of you...but my very First memory of you was at the first Enrichment night I attended after moving to Stansbury. I remember you, Rose, Jenny, and me with some other gals talking about just moving in. Jenny said she knew where I lived because the next day after I moved in I had my Christmas decorations up. I know I am a little ( A LOT) OCD. We moved in on Dec. 21, 2001.
I remember you were looking around at everyone silently taking it all in. I have always liked the quiet or shy people. I think it is because I am, well sometimes...okay A lot of the time, pretty loud! :)

I also remember you being a part of the group that wouldn't let Stansbury Improvement agency put the girls softball fields in the park across from our houses. Remember that? I am still so glad it went in on the other side.

And I have to agree with you. I enjoyed being your V.T. companion. You have been my best companion, too. I miss going with you...maybe we could ask to be partners again...what do you think? I like it! I may have to drop a BIG HINT to Terri E.

I am so glad to call you my friend, Cindy. You are a true friend. I am thankful and grateful to know you.

There are many, but one that stands out is when I talked with you and Brent about a controversial life choice I had made - and without a moment's hesitation you spoke up and said, "We love you and we just want you to be happy". That's when I knew you were a keeper!!

Cindy... most of my memories are from visiting you for a few years... with Melinda and Haley before her and did we start with Becky??? I can't remember...Anyway, I loved going to your house and seeing the new things you were doing with it. And I loved being with you... you are such a genuine person. You don't put on any pretenses and I know that you are my friend and that you'll be there if I need you. Man... I miss you... HOLY MUSHY... get a grip Shanna! Anyway, we need to get together, maybe we should get Melinda and go out to lunch or just have a picnic at the park with the kids.

Cindy,
I have several memories of you it is really hard to just pick one.
My favorite has to do with you and the family. It was when Isabella was first learning to talk and Zoe was little. You guys had gotten Isabella a picture book that had like cars, trees, apples, etc… Just pictures of all sorts of things, it is when you and Brent lived in the Condo in Magna and I came to visit with Dad and Karen. You were showing us the book and what Isabella could say. There was this one picture though that was the best! It was a picture of a Danish but Isabella thought it was a picture of poop. The way that she was saying poop was so funny that I think I made her say it at least a hundred times. I remember you laughing too and then finally Brent got a little annoyed and told me to stop. Another is a couple years ago when we were at Dad's for the Christmas stories and what not. Noah was littler and silly of course and I think that we were right in the middle of saying a prayer and Noah just started saying all this crazy stuff. I looked up at you and you looked at me at the same time and it was everything we could do not to just start busting up laughing. When I think of you, you always bring a smile to my face! You are very sweet Cindy and I love you!

Shanna, I remember all those good conversations we had when you and Melinda were over. You were always so easy to talk to. I also remember that time in Relief Society when you told the story about you and Ben and how you got to the temple. Such an amazing story! You are awesome woman!

Jen, I remember those days too and they were great! I remember when you put your townhouse up for sale. You had the teeniest bit of influence on me in selling my own place (a decision we've never regretted!)

Hi Cindy! It's Alice Chappell, I found your blog through a long list of other blogs! Anyways, I loved reading everything and getting to know you better that way. I know we don't know each other a whole lot but I have always been very impressed with your kindness towards me and others. So thank you for that!

Anyways....my first memory of meeting you is right after I moved in here to Stansbury (the first time) our boys are the same age and I met you in the mother's room. Nolan nursed for about 5 minutes and then he was ready to move on, I remember Noah had nursed for so long I thought he was a tiny little baby (he was under a blanket) I asked you how old your baby was and he was a month older than Nolan! I remember thinking wow, there must be something wrong with N he never eats that much!

Weird memory I know but that is really my first memory of you. :)

Hi Cindy! I noticed your comment on my family blog just today. I love your blog!! Your writing is wonderful, and totally engaging. I am going to work on writing more from the heart like you do. I do too much self-editing.

My memory of high school is not the best these days. I attribute this to being a mother of 4 kids:} But, I have this recurring image of you with a smile on your face walking down the halls of JHS with a pile of books in your arms. I also remember how genuinely friendly you always were to everyone. One last thing I remember is you being on the track team and running on the track while we were practicing our cheers. Why did everything have to be so short back then? Short shorts and short skirts. I'm embarrassed just thinking of wearing those things in public.

I'm going to put this on my blog, too. Keep writing and I'll keep checking back. You have quiet the following!
